Sun Singer Audition 2026 — Terms & Conditions
1. This Competition is applicable to persons aged between 6 (six) and 14 (fourteen) years old (“Participant(s)”). Both the Participants and their parents/legal guardian shall be bound by these Rules. Participants must be accompanied at all times by their parent/legal guardian. It is clarified that, children of employees of STNL, its affiliates, subsidiaries, associated agencies, participating operators and children of their immediate family members and relatives are not eligible to participate in the Competition.
2. STNL shall be entitled to request Participant(s) to produce any identification document(s) as it may solely deem fit for verifying the identity and the eligibility of a Participant. STNL at its sole discretion may also waive production of any of the aforesaid documents.
3. By submitting an Entry, the Participants hereby represent that there are no pre-existing obligations that can prevent such Participants’ participation in the Auditions (defined hereunder) or the Competition.
4. Valid Online Entry. In order for an Online Entry (defined hereunder) to be considered valid, it shall satisfy the following conditions:
4.1. The Contestant must record and submit at least one (1) video of the Participant(s) performing a song of his/her choice, which may preferably be in the Tamil language. The submitted video shall have a minimum duration of 60 (sixty) seconds and shall not exceed 100 MB in size, in MP4 or MOV format.
5. Each Participant shall submit only 1 (one) Entry by uploading their video Entry to the link https://www.sunnxt.com/sunsinger, in accordance with the requirements set out in clause 4 of these Rules (“Online Entry(ies)”) for the first level auditions (“Level 1 Audition”):
6. All Entries submitted for the Level 1 Auditions, shall be judged and shortlisted by STNL and a panel of judges appointed by STNL (“Panel(s)”) for taking part in the next round of auditions (“Interzonal Audition(s)”) at their sole discretion.
7. The Interzonal Auditions shall be conducted as follows:
7.1. Each Shortlisted Participant (defined hereunder) shall go through approximately 5 (five) rounds of testing before a Panel.
7.2. The initial round of the Interzonal Auditions, if any, shall be held online via zoom or such other teleconferencing software as decided by STNL.
7.3. Shortlisted Participants shall then be selected and required to take part in physical rounds of auditions to be held in Chennai, the time and venue of which shall be communicated by STNL via phone call / e-mail.
7.4. STNL at its sole discretion, shall select approximately 20 (twenty) Shortlisted Participants (each a “Finalist”) to take part in further rounds of the Competition, and STNL’s decision in this regard shall be final.
8. The Level 1 Auditions and Interzonal Auditions shall be collectively referred to as “Auditions”.
9. The Participants agree that the decision of the Panels regarding the Entries shall be final, and the Participants shall not have any other recourse.
10. A Participant shall not submit more than 1 (one) Entry. Any subsequent Entries by a Participant having submitted an Entry shall be deemed invalid.
11. All Entries received by STNL on or before 31st May 2026, shall be considered for the Level 1 Audition. No Entries received after the last date of submission shall be accepted by STNL .
12. STNL shall not be liable for a Participant’s delay/failure to submit their Entry due to any technical issues.
13. STNL shall communicate to Participants short-listed (“Shortlisted Participants”) from the Level 1 Auditions via phone call / e-mail, along with the details of the Interzonal Auditions.
14. Participants/ Shortlisted Participants/Finalists shall be responsible for being present at such venue and time communicated by STNL for the Auditions, or for further rounds of the Competition as may be applicable at their own cost and STNL shall not entertain any request or claim, whatsoever in this regard.
15. In the event a Shortlisted Participant fails to show up for their Interzonal Auditions or if a Finalist fails to show up at such time and venue communicated, by STNL, such Shortlisted Participant/Finalist’s Entry shall be deemed to have been withdrawn and STNL shall at its sole discretion select an alternative Participant/Finalist to take their place.
16. STNL shall not be held responsible for any delay in communicating the selection of Shortlisted Participants or Finalists, as the case may be due to occurrences, reasons, causes or circumstances that are/may arise beyond its control.
17. The Participants may be required to sign necessary documents/terms and conditions therein before submitting their Entry or at any time during the Competition.
18. In the event of any failure on the part of a Participant to comply with any specified term, condition, formality and/or directions issued by STNL, STNL shall be entitled to cancel Such Participant’s Entry at its sole discretion.
19. Each Entry shall be non-transferable, and another person cannot take part on behalf or instead of a Participant.
20. STNL makes no warranties, representations or guarantees, express or implied, in fact or in law, regarding the Competition. In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, the Competition or any part thereof including but not limited to the Level 1 Auditions, Interzonal Auditions is cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled for any reason whatsoever, STNL shall not be liable to offer any compensation to any Participant, and they shall have no claim against STNL.
21. STNL reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of any value at its sole discretion.
22. Finalists once selected shall not participate in any other competition similar to this Competition until its conclusion, regardless of whether or not such Finalist has been eliminated prior to the Competition’s conclusion.
23. STNL shall not be responsible for any loss or damage suffered by the Participants, Shortlisted Participants, Finalists and their parents/guardians while participating in the Competition.
24. By participating, all Participants consent to STNL collecting, storing, and processing their personal data solely for the purposes of administering/broadcasting the Competition. STNL shall not be liable for any unauthorized access or breach of personal data by third parties
25. Failure by STNL to enforce any of these Rules in any instance(s) shall not give rise to any claim by any person.
26. The Competition shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and the Courts at Chennai shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or regarding the Competition or these Rules.
27. Any interim reliefs sought shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts of Chennai only.
28. Participant(s) agree to indemnify and hold harmless STNL, its affiliates, employees, vendors and partners from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities or expenses arising out of their participation in the Competition, Auditions or breach of these Rules.
29. STNL, in its sole and absolute discretion, reserves the right at any time, without giving any prior notice to the Participant(s), to extend, cancel, discontinue, prematurely withdraw the Competition and add, alter, modify, change or vary all or any of these Rules, wholly or in part thereof including the eligibility criteria, as may be required in view of business exigencies and/or changes by regulatory authority and/or statutory changes and the same shall be binding on the Participants.
30. Any attempt by Participant(s) to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Auditions/Competition and/or website or other operations of STNL is a violation of applicable laws and should such an attempt be made, STNL reserves the right to seek damages from such Participant(s) to the fullest extent as permitted by law in addition to its other rights/reliefs under applicable laws.
31. All Entries will be treated as the sole property of STNL and can be used by STNL for any promotional and/or commercial activity and the Participants waive all rights of whatsoever nature including but not limited to any moral rights in the said Entries in favour of STNL.
32. The Participants agree that they shall be required by STNL to participate in a photo, video and/or film sessions over the duration of the Competition and acknowledge that STNL has the absolute and exclusive right to use such publicity photos, videos and/or films in any medium and in any reasonable manner it may deem fit without any consideration or payment of similar nature to the Participants.
33. The Participant(s) agrees and acknowledges that even if STNL does not exercise any of their rights in the Entries, Competition or any content created therefrom for more than a period of one (1) year, such rights will not lapse and revert pursuant to Section 19(4) of the Copyright Act, 1957.
34. STNL in its absolute discretion may publicize, broadcast or otherwise disclose a Participant's name, character, likeness, statements or any recording of their voice in advertising or promotional activities concerning this Competition, or generally for the purposes of promoting STNL.
35. Participants acknowledge and agree that STNL shall have sole and absolute discretion regarding the content to be recorded, edited, and broadcast in connection with the Competition. STNL is under no obligation whatsoever to broadcast, publicize, or otherwise make available any particular Entry, performance, footage, or Participant.
36. STNL may, at its sole discretion, determine the extent, manner, and timing of any broadcast or publication of the Competition content, and reserves the right to exclude or omit any material for any reason, including but not limited to editorial, legal, or technical considerations.
37. STNL, its vendor and/or its subsidiaries shall not be liable to any person or entity for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages, including loss or profits, incurred by any Participant, their parent/guardian or any other third party, whether in connection with this Competition or for breach of any warranty or in tort.
38. STNL, its vendors and its subsidiaries shall not be responsible for any claim/s arising out of any technical failure/s either before, during, or after the completion of the Auditions including but not limited to any technical failures of servers or any mistakes arising out of technical snags, or if the Competition is not conducted. Further, STNL shall not be responsible for any claims arising out of any failure(s) which are beyond the control of STNL or its vendors.
39. This Competition is subject to force majeure circumstances i.e., an act of God or any circumstance beyond the control of STNL.
40. STNL reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any Participant(s) found tampering with the Auditions, violating these Rules, or acting in a disruptive manner.
41. This Competition is subject to guidelines/directions issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) and all other relevant statutory authority(ies) from time to time.
42. The Participants and their parents/guardians shall treat all information communicated by STNL regarding the Competition including but not limited to the Auditions, Panels’ decisions, Competition/Auditions’ format etc. (“Confidential Information”), as confidential and shall not disclose any part thereof to any third party through any mode/medium. In the event any Participant or their parent/guardian is found in breach of their confidentiality obligation set out herein, STNL shall cancel such Participant’s Entry and, in the event such Participant is a Shortlisted Participant or a Finalist, such Participant may be replaced by STNL, at its sole discretion.
43. All license and rights granted to STNL by the Participant(s), shall vest with STNL in perpetuity.
44. Submission of an Entry by a Participant implies acceptance of all the terms and conditions associated with the Competition, by the Participants as well as their parents/guardians.
